Marettimo, with its crystal clear sea, is rich in caves, both emerged and submerged, to visit.

Marsala

Marsala is a city of great charm, between history, wine and sea, offering many attractions to its visitors. The Punic ship, the archaeological park with its precious finds, the historic landing of Garibaldi with its Thousand, the historic center, well-kept and welcoming, with its monuments, churches, museums tell the story of a city with an important past and prestigious.
Marsala is also a city of wine. Historic factories and new companies have produced and produced, with passion and skill, excellent white, red and grandiose fortified wines, such as the famous Marsala doc wine, known all over the world. Among suggestive windmills that are reflected on pools of brackish water and white heaps of crystals that shine in the sunlight, the Via del Sale offers an unique mix of lights and colors at nightfall.

Trapani

Trapani is the area’s administrative centre and thanks to its strategic position forms the ideal starting point from which to discover the historic, artistic, and panoramic beauty of the neighbouring area. The most important monuments, the old aristocratic palaces like Cavarretta, Riccio di Morana, San Rocco, Riccio di San Gioacchino, and Lucatelli are surely worth a visit. Then there are the churches including the cathedral, the church of Purgatorio (Purgatory) where the sculpted statues of the Mysteries are kept when not being paraded on Good Friday, and also the fourteenth century church of Sant’Agostino. Trapani is also renowned for its coral working, with the business forming one of the pillars of the city’s economy until the 1800s. The history of this tradition is told through authentic masterpieces held in the Museo Pepoli which is housed in the ex-Carmelite convent attached to the Santuario dell’Annunziata.
