A Mediterranean Dream

A Mediterranean Dream
Welcome to Calamoni di Favignana:
Just a few kilometers off the coast of Trapani, within the stunning Egadi Islands archipelago, the island of Favignana shines like a true gem of the Mediterranean Sea.
Formerly known as Aegusa (or Egusa), Favignana owes its current name to the Favonio, a warm westerly wind that shapes the island’s mild climate and lush natural landscape.
This small marine paradise, boasting over 30 km of coastline, is an extraordinary treasure of colors, scents, and authentic Sicilian sensations. Its pristine waters take on a unique shade of blue, blending seamlessly with the sky at the horizon. Here, sea and air merge into an infinite embrace, creating a breathtaking landscape—an awe-inspiring masterpiece of nature.
Enchanting beaches, rugged cliffs, ancient tuff quarries, mysterious caves, and trails immersed in nature make Favignana a true sensory experience. Whether you seek absolute relaxation in its crystal-clear waters or wish to explore its most authentic soul, Favignana offers the perfect escape.
Thanks to its distinctive shape, the island was nicknamed “The Great Butterfly of the Egadi” by the painter Salvatore Fiume, highlighting its resemblance to a butterfly with outstretched wings—a symbol of lightness and grace.
Our accommodations are nestled among our estate’s vineyards in Calamoni di Favignana, on the island’s south-central coast, just steps from the sea. This is one of the most picturesque locations on Favignana, where you can admire breathtaking sunsets, sheltered by the island’s towering promontory.
At Calamoni, we have developed our own concept of hospitality—dedicating a collection of apartments to refined, high-class accommodation in true Firriato style. A haven of peace, privacy, relaxation, and timeless beauty.
Reaching the Firriato Apartments is effortless, thanks to our complimentary pick-up service upon arrival and departure from the port of Favignana.
